My current 38-year-old self was comparing prices on the classic 1994 Dragon dagger this morning. I stopped watching Power Rangers after the 1st 88 episodes when the original cast was no more. There are 53 men on the football roster. At the beginning of training camp (July), and Pre-Season (August), the team starts out with 90. And by the beginning of the 1^st week of the Regular Season (which is usually the 1^st week of September), they cut the Pre-Season roster to 53.
